GreenCitizen is offering an eBay Customer Service and QC position in a fast-paced, growing, and socially responsible green business. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative who is a motivated, self-starter and can work under pressure to respond customer’s requests and questions about our rapidly growing eBay inventory of used and refurbished electronics and computer components.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, genuine empathy and a proven track record in de-escalation of customer concerns, all while representing GreenCitizen with pride and in a professional voice.
Representatives are expected to adapt to changes, contribute to improving the overall eBay customer experience, and follow through on resolving customer issues with good judgment and a sense of urgency. The Quality Control Assistant conducts quality assurance inspections to ensure our eBay products adhere to established specifications, pictures, and details.
This Customer Service Representative and QC Assistant is an entry level position, previous experience performing quality control ideal but not necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
– Achieve productivity standards and goals while maintaining the highest level of customer service
– Answer customer calls and respond to eBay messages in a timely manner
– Provide basic troubleshooting on open RMA cases.
– Manage and resolve customer complaints
– Identify and escalate priority issues and route unresolved customer issues to appropriate departments
– Follow up customer calls where necessary
– Document all information in ticket system according to standard operating procedures
– Adhere to the work schedule with regard to start/stop times and breaks
– Maintain a positive work atmosphere that strengthens the team
– QC eBay product specifications, pictures and details, schedule and export.
– Time management between Customer Service and QC tasks
– Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Successful candidates will have all of the following skills and qualities:
– Must have knowledge of consumer electronics, computers and components
– Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
– Concise written and verbal communication skills
– Multi tasking with computer and phone simultaneously, accurately and effectively.
– Ability to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with all customers and co-workers
– Problem-solving skills, people skills, and team skills.
– Thriving in an unstructured and dynamically growing entrepreneurial environment
– Detailed-oriented and reliable. A self-starter that can set his or her own goals and getting things done without micro-management from the supervisor
– Fast typing skills (35 + WPM)
– Strong passion for the environment and social responsibility
– Must pass drug test and pass background check
– Have a car, bike, or can take Caltrain or BART to reach our center in Burlingame
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear frequently. There are also some package lifting and unpackaging for return process handling.
Hours and compensation:
40 hours a week. The compensation is dependent on qualification. The job is available immediately.
Location:
This job is based in our Burlingame Center near Millbrae BART and Caltrain Station.
