ALL POSITIONS REQUIRE RECENT EXPERIENCE IN PCB ASSEMBLY
AOI Programmers (Day/Swing Shift)
• Set up and program AOI machines to insure all quality aspects are met for every job or project.
• Inspect all completed PCBA to insure no components installed are interfering with AOI machines.
• Setup and program AOI using customer supplied BOM and XY DATA to inspect/detect all workmanship issues.
• Record and maintain all AOI programs for current and future builds of all products.
Assembly Manufacturing Engineer (Swing Shift)
• Coordinate the execution and manage technical issues with customers as well as Design & Assembly vendors.
• Create and maintain MPI, thermal profiles, process development, screen printing programs, stencil design, tooling, fixture, and any other programs that are related to quality assurance of all assemblies.
• Set up and maintain thermal profiles for all types and sizes of PCBs and all other programs related to PCB assembly.
• Define, develop, and provide support for SMT, Wave, 2nd Op, Box Build, and Rework processes.
• Develop MPI (Manufacturing Process Instruction) & Rework Instructions.
• Support major SMT in the operating, programming, process validation, including machines such as stencil printer, SPI, pick/place, and reflow, AOI.
• Disposition workmanship defects per IPC-610 and participate in the root cause analysis for any defective products.
Assembly Production Lead (Day/Swing Shift)
• Provide training to and lead the Assembly Floor Personnel (Assemblers, Touch up, Rework, Operators, Inspectors, etc.) to ensure smooth running of operations.
• Create, implement, and supervise in-house manufacturing facility.
• Gather data on product shortages, lead times, price changes, etc. to determine if Sierra is meeting the needs of current/future customers and business partners.
• Coordinate the assembly activities with sales to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
• Create, implement, and supervise daily quality processes to ensure 100% accuracy.
QA Supervisor (Graveyard)/Inspector (Swing/Graveyard Shifts) / QC Inspectors (Swing/Graveyard Shift)
• Inspect PCB’s at various points in the manufacturing process to ensure that all quality requirements are adhered to.
• Examine units for physical defects and quality of workmanship for conformity to IPC standards.
• Verify installation of hardware on assemblies, components and parts for documentation.
• Performs 1st Article, in-process and final inspection procedures.
• Using magnification aids and stereo-microscope inspect populated PCBs and identify component misplacement and solder defects or any other defects to IPC-A-610 (current revision) standards.
• Using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment, inspect populated PCBs for correct component placement, value, and orientation (also Ball Grid Array mounting). (Optional when going out source inspection)
• Using defect or nonconformance data, effectively communicate quality issues, via QMS procedures as required, for immediate correction.
• Read and understand customer’s drawings, specifications and requirements as they apply to inspecting PCB assembly.
• Read, understand, and comply with ISO procedures and work instructions.
• Understand IPC specifications as related to PCB & Assembly manufacturing.
Assemblers (Swing Shift)
• Ability to read and understand all documentation related to PCB Assembly.
• Ability to install hardware on assemblies, components and parts per documentation.
• Using magnification aids and stereo-microscope solder components, and ECO wires to PCBs adhering to IPC-A-610 (current revision) standards.
• Using hand tools, such as tweezers, to manually assemble components to PCBs.
• Able to use customer Bill of Material & assembly notes to assemble per customer specifications.
• Communicates discrepancies to the appropriate management representative and ensure that all products meet customer specifications.
• Read and understand customer’s drawings, specifications and requirements as they apply to PCB assembly. Read, understand, and comply with ISO procedures and work instructions.
• Understand IPC specifications as related to PCB & Assembly manufacturing.
SMT Operator (Graveyard Shift)
• Will set up and program the Screen Printer, SMT Pick and Place Machine, and Reflow Ovens to insure all quality aspects are met for every job or project.
• Operating all machinery related to PCB assembly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3-5 years experience in the printed circuit board industry.
• Prior experience with ISO 9001/9002 or QS9000 preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret quality control specifications, IPC 610 and/or IPC 710 certification, blue print drawings and engineering specifications.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all time.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new skills and tasks as required, especially PCB software (ProCim).
• Strong time and document management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.
