Position: Human Resources Manager
You are organized and professional with strong leadership skills and really shine when coaching, mentoring and managing a team. This is an opportunity to manage the HR department in an institution where learning, creativity and successful outcomes trump bureaucracy. As Human Resources Manager you will report directly to the Director of Human Resources where you will make a significant contribution to the growth of ITU.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain a working environment that will attract and retain high quality faculty and staff to fulfill ITU’s visions and goals as we continue to grow.
• Willingness to take ownership and accept personal responsibility.
• Generate trust and able to effectively advise management and staff on HR policies and programs.
• Oversee all daily operations of the HR department.
• Ensure policies, procedures and HR programs are consistently administered, are aligned with organizational goals, and are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws.
• Plan, manage and coordinate all human resources initiatives: recruitment, payroll, benefits, training and staff development.
• Supervise other HR staff.
Qualifications:
• BA or BS (required); Master’s degree (preferred)
• Minimum 3 years experience as an HR Generalist.
• Minimum 2 years experience as an HR Manager, directly supervising other people.
• Proven leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Current knowledge of federal and state employment law and immigration laws.
• Possesses strong analytical, planning and implementation skills
• Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard business applications.
• Experience with payroll provider software (ADP Workforce Now knowledge preferred).
Compensation:
Compensation based on experience.
Full time exempt position.
