Office Manager Position (san jose downtown)

We are a painting contractor in San Jose. Tasks include general bookkeeping functions and general office assistance.
* This is a full-time position
* Minimum time commitment of 40 hours per week (5 days/week; 8 hours/day).
* Opportunity to start immediately.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Compensation:
* Compensation commensurate with experience
* General bookkeeping.
* Accounts Payable: bill paying
* Accounts Receivable: invoicing
* Bank reconciliations
* Assistance providing tax return information to tax preparers
* Maintain vendor and customer files
Education & Experience Requirements
* 5+ years construction accounting experience a must.
Skill Requirements:
* Strong software and internet skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* QuickBooks Accounting experience a must.
* Know excel formulas to the “T”.
Other Qualifications:
* Attention to detail and deadlines
* Good record-keeping practices
* Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines
* Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and complete manner
* Ability to identify tasks necessary to complete goals,
* Ability to take ownership of tasks to ensure completion.
* Ability to speak up with new ideas.
* Self-starter who can operate with a minimum level of supervision.
* Good communication skills.
* Knowledge of Spanish a plus.
* Team player.
