We are a Distributor of Automotive Care Products for a Fortune 100 Company.
The Business Development Manager manages the Business Development and Distribution of our Products and Services as an Automotive Aftermarket Protection Provider & Car Care program manager, through Automotive Dealerships and/or a group of Independent Resellers that consults, supports, and re-sells and installs our dealer products to their target of automotive retailers and consumers in a specific multi-state geographic area within a district. In addition, the Business Development Manager is the liaison between our Resellers and our operational support. The Business Development Manager ensures consistent results, sets best-practices, and assists in the sales and support activities of our Resellers who are responsible for consulting with their clients which include but not limited to dealership management, sales & F&I staff regarding our Programs. The Business Development Manager is expected to be hands on to meet established objectives for market penetration, customer retention and customer satisfaction. As a representative of our brand in the marketplace, the Business Development Manager must not only be professional and talented, but they should also have a healthy respect for automotive retailers and a passion for creating a Win/Win/Win program for our Partners, Customers & our company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of Independent Resellers and have responsibility for all activities and results, including marketing, prospecting, relationship development, sales, ongoing consulting, and customer support & outside broker support.
• Cultivate an effective team of Resellers and develop individual team members to ensure goals are achieved and that our brand is upheld
• Provide in-depth analyses and reports regarding field activities and dealership progress as well as independent agent progress
• Provide written and verbal feedback to the product and operational teams on new product ideas, and/or suggested modifications to existing products
• Ensure current dealer satisfaction by responding quickly and accurately to dealer problems, concerns or needs
• Manage and monitor all contracts, as well as accounts receivable for our Accounts
• Adhere to our policies and procedures
• Understand Auto Dealer New & Used Variable & Fixed Ops Vehicle department operating processes
• Marketing our Vehicle accessory options & availability
• Understand, train and support our programs i.e. Dealer vehicle inventory installation procedures
• Sales & Management Training on our Programs
• Understand and support through our resellers, all dealer departments
• Monitor our reseller’s dealer efforts and recommend enhancements to improve their dealers’ performance
• Coordinate dealer vehicle marketing activities pertaining to our Programs
• Coordinate dealership accessory sales and marketing activities
• Analyze and recommend enhancements if necessary
• Coordinate preload installer training and certification activities with dealer management
• Ensure dealer participation through program enrollments
• Enforce our operating standards
• Achieve specific targets for our client satisfaction and retention goals
• Achieve our sales objectives
• Timely and professional submission of all requested sales reports utilizing our CRM software

Requirements:
2-3 year min. with a mix of prior outside B2B sales in aftermarket products to Automotive Dealerships or Automotive related industry. The ideal person would have some working knowledge or Dealership F&I experience along with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University.
Must be able to travel in a specific territory and have a reliable vehicle.
