Sports Ops/Sports Marketing Intern at AT&T Center
Description
Our company, Playbook, builds the best software in the world to help any sports organization or athletic department automate their work and grow their program. As part of our mission, we are working to help 1 million kids participate in a once in a lifetime experience. Some of these experiences include games between sports programs at famous arenas including the AT&T Center.
We are looking for students or recent grads who need sports operations or sports marketing experience to help us with pre event planning and game day operations for events we do in the San Antonio area. The first event will be April 7th at the AT&T Center. We also do these events throughout the year.
We are asking for 15 hours before the event and for you to be present at all 15 hours of the event for an internship total of 30 hours.
The position will be a great opportunity to gain valuable experience with sports operations and sports marketing. Responsibilities will include
– Assisting with event planning
– Coordinating with coaches and athletic directors leading up to event
– Being main point of contact for certain teams on game day to make sure all arena protocol are properly followed
– Helping with awards and halftime show logistics
– Working with team to ensure all game day event goals are reached
– Working with arena security to help with check in at the arena as well as any questions that security may need help with
-Taking pictures and video and posting to social media
College credits will be available as part of this internship. If you do an amazing job you may also be eligible to fly to other arenas and stadiums around the country as an event coordinator! Additionally, letters of recommendation will be available after the internship.
