Located in Santa Clara, CA.

Summary of Position:
Under the direction and coordination of the Store Manager, provides support and direction necessary to achieve store financial goals and performance objectives. Facilitates in team development objectives, merchandising direction, establishing operational controls and developing consistent standards of customer service.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales & Expense Management
• Open availability to Naartjie business needs
• Assist in Managing payroll and drive sales performance to meet Naartjie business objectives.
Leadership & Team Development
• Act as a professional representative of Naartjie.
• Consistently communicate Naartjie core values.
• Assist in helping associates understand the company’s overall business strategy.
• Communicate a vision of where the organization needs to go.
Merchandise Direction
• Maximize merchandise visual presentation, insuring all sku’s are represented on the selling floor.
• Must have knowledge of business; Best Sellers, Sales Goals, and create quantifiable measurements.
• Assist in the Executing and maintaining visual presentation to Naartjie standards.
• Assist in inventory management, including merchandise receipts, check –in and floor sets.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Operations
• Insure backroom/desk organization; wrap station clean/orderly at all times.
• Open & Close Store –Nights & Weekends.
• Assist in insuring both the selling floor and stockroom are neat, clean, and organized.
• Assist in insuring Financial Controls are complete in accordance with Naartjie Policy.
• Insure General Store cleanliness and upkeep.
• Assist in the management of the Team member’s performance in a consistent, fair and effective manner.
• Demonstrate commitment to ownership and team work with all Team Members.
• Lead with an inspired and shared vision for success –Team Oriented.
• Communicate via systems, phones, and e-mail Asset Protection & Safety.
Customer Service
• Greet Customers immediately with eye contact, smile and welcome.
• Create wardrobe options with all customers.
• Help to develop repeat customers and encourage customer feedback.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
• 1 or more years progressive retail management experience at least six (6) months of which should be in a soft-lines retail environment;
• Strong interpersonal skills to aid with handling associate and customer issues.
• Strong merchandising skills are a must;
• Ability to follow and initiate planogram type
• Must be qualified to work in the United States.
Desired Qualifications — Desired but not required.
• College level coursework relative to business management preferred
• Computer / System level of comfort on email, basic word processing, etc.
