SINC is currently seeking intensely motivated, competitive and passionate individuals to serve as Business Development Executive in our Austin-based Headquarters.
As a Business Development Executive, your responsibility will be to identify all vendors, suppliers and solution-providers that have technologies and products they may be interested in promoting and presenting to our event audiences. Once identified, you sell them on the value, features, benefits and ROI of sponsoring our event.
To ensure the best results in attendance, quality experiences and event revenues you will be working closely with senior management and the marketing and events team. Your industry knowledge, connections and reputation will grow with every delivered event.
We offer one of the highest compensation models in the industry; your first-year earnings target is 60,000.00 USD – 70,000.00 USD with targets of 80,000.00 USD+ in your second year. You will also find ample opportunity to advance within our company and even to relocate to some of our US locations. Your specific duties in this role will include:
Lead development by researching industries, associations, market reports, whitepapers, directories, bloggers, portals, LinkedIn groups, vendors and suppliers to learn about content and establish leads to engage with for technology event sponsorship sales.
Generate well researched leads within various vendor, consultant and service categories that are attracted to our event audiences.
Gain competitive and market intelligence on competitors and related industry events.
Understand the needs and potential pain points of your prospect-base.
Spend on average 2 – 3 hours on the phone each day pitching and presenting SINC’s event vision, benefits to prospect and expected ROI.
Manage and maintain a detailed pipeline to achieve and exceed assigned weekly and monthly quotas.
Maintain a database of customers through documentation by recording activity and statistics on each outbound call in company CRM; uphold standards for the minimum number of calls (80) per day.
Navigate our consultative sales process in a professional manner that impacts and leads to proper decision making, rapport and trust building.
Negotiate and close sponsorship sales, adding to the revenue streams of the campaigns you are assigned.
Manage your clients and accounts through activation, pre-event promotion, event day preparation and expectation, live event experiences and post-event outcomes.
Grow your skill set and career position by participating in all aspects of training development offered within SINC.
Consistently demonstrate persistence and tenacity to overcome obstacles and to move the customer or prospect towards commitment using key selling points and features, benefits, and tools.
Be strategically minded toward organizational mission and goals.
Continuously evolve personal development to improve personal efficiency and effectiveness.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Education Required
2+ years sales, cold calling or relevant experience
Strong ability to handle objections and rejection
A confident, positive, and disciplined attitude
Hunger and tenacity to find that new customer; can engage and open doors quickly
Strong time management / organizational skills; utilization of systems, leads, etc.
Familiar with working in an incentive/goal driven environment
Strong customer service focus with a passion to exceed customer requirements
Ability to collaborate across sales channels
High energy, drive, and sense of responsibility
Strong communication skills (email, phone, etc.)
