We’re seeking a fun and energetic individual who is looking for flexible or part-time B2B professional inside sales work. Our office location is in the Northland area of Kansas City, but this program is designed to be work-from-home.
We help local businesses succeed by solving their logistics challenges. Ideal work times are 9am to 2pm, 10am to 3pm, or some flexible combination that allows you to continue your professional career yet still be available for those highest priorities in life. We’re eager to customize the right plan for the right candidate.
We are a locally-owned, locally-managed company and a member of a global transportation network offering a broad range of logistics services including international air and ocean transportation, both importing and exporting. The international logistics industry is fast and ever-changing, and helping our customers succeed means winning in the global economy. Our clients completely rely upon us as their partners to receive raw materials to create their products and to deliver those finished products to their valued customers all over the world.
We’re adding to our team to support our growing business in Kansas City and beyond. We will provide training, tools, and support to successfully manage your customer relationships. You will be responsible for connecting with qualified potential clients (70%) as well as maintaining relationships with existing customers (30%). In conjunction with the leadership and outside sales team, you will also be responsible for identifying prospects and coordinating meetings. Key objectives are contact discovery, contact development, information distribution via email, and appointment setting. Success in this role leads to mobility into other areas of our business.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
• Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
• Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
• Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
• Prepare reports on account status
• Collaborate with operations team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Skills:
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
• Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
• Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
How do we reward our team?
Compensation is based on availability (hours per day or week) and sales experience, which is very helpful but not mandatory. There are two components:
• Base or guaranteed pay
• Performance bonus based on the activity goals, and
• · Other benefits are negotiable based on W2 or contract employment status.
