LocaleIQ is an intelligent location management startup. Common across our customer implementations is the need to map lands and/or infrastructure with or without GIS expertise, and their need to run location specific internal business operations and customer outreach. Whether it’s 1) a state park system mapping all their parks and amenities, while promoting concessionaires and offering facilities and amenities for bookings and reservations, or 2) an industrial facility trying to get ROI out of all their sensors through a single mapping interface with real-time alerts, or 3) a city implementing crisis management mapping of all their emergency services, with weather, heat, and pollution sensor data, these scenarios all have the following in common. They need collaboration, maps, data collection from people, sensors and machines, they need to publish data and information internally and perhaps externally and they need analytics. And perhaps most importantly, they would like to be able to do this without GIS and publishing expertise. LocaleIQ offers our customers a single solution, that requires little training, to address all these needs.
We are looking for team members who can get really excited about the impact LocaleIQ can have and who are equally driven by the company and team’s success as they are by their own personal success.
Company Status
• Our beta customers have launched and there are a couple more in the development pipeline who we are doing POCs with.
• We are pre-funding, but have started the process of looking for funding.
Our customers take three forms:
1) Direct Customers – Using our solution to manage internal business operations and customer outreach.
2) Consultants – Consultants who create location management solutions for their customers through maps and analytics, use LocaleIQ to do that and to extend their customers’ solution with location specific project, events and volunteer management, inventory tracking, sales and reservations, surveys, sensor and machine data collection, and real-time alerts and analytics.
3) Solutions Builders – Customers who use LocaleIQ to build and power their own vertical solution that they sell to their customers.
The Role
Sales/Customer Success/Solutions Evangelist
• While we label the role as a “sales” position, it’s really all about customer success. We are looking for talent who can clearly identify the appropriate customer solution fit and who will help the customer realize this fit. This means having enough knowledge of at least one of the sectors we support (Smart Cities, IoT, Crisis Management and Outdoor Recreation) and enough subject matter expertise to understand the customer’s pain points and how LocaleIQ can solve them.
• This role will evolve over time. As is the nature of a startup, you won’t just be doing sales, but you’ll be contributing to the company’s marketing efforts, product development, and positioning. Aid in jointly developing the sales training program.
• Lead generation is being initiated through online marketing, content marketing, social channels and partners. For some sectors we have an initial pipeline and customer lists to call as well. For other sectors the prospect will be doing much of the lead generation herself/himself.
• This role also includes all the typical sales stuff including, but not limited to, prospecting, lead generation, cold calling, understanding and using the product yourself, being able to demo the product to the customer, create customer specific materials and documentation, have outstanding communication skills, tracking and documenting all customer engagements.
Requirements
• Sales experience in the one of the supported sectors or similar
o Experience selling *software* specific solutions not required if candidate has a strong background in the target sectors of Smart Cities, IoT, Crisis Management, and Outdoor Recreation.

• Video editing for customer specific video demos or training is helpful, but not required
Fulltime or Part-time
• If you are the right person with the right talent, we will also consider part-time positions to accommodate other projects or paying positions you maintain until salary becomes part of the compensation package.
