The Certified Electrician will provide leadership and technical expertise for the photovoltaic installation team. In this position, the Certified Electrician will communicate the necessary job status data to the American Solar Direct operations management team to assure the successful operation of complete and working systems. The ideal candidate will also lead efforts for safe working practices for the American Solar Direct installation team.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools or power tools
• Capable of lifting 50lbs
• Play, layout and install electrical system based on job specification and local codes
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Play and layout and installation of electrical wiring

Requirements:
• Must have electrician license specifically in the California
• Must be able to pass MVR (motor vehicle report) check
• Must have 2 years or more of residential electrical experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Knowledge: Knowledge of general construction, electrical, and roofing practices
2. Skills: Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components, and proficient in running conduit ( ¾” and 1″ EMT) and wiring practices
3. Abilities: Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments and possess excellent customer service and communications skills

American Solar Direct requires a drug screening, background check, and DMV records check for all candidates.
