Senior Javascript Graphics/UX Engineer (Contract)
Job Description:
Lead frontend engineer for building a browser based, real money slots game using both HTML5 canvas & WebGL support for Asylum Labs Inc, www.asylumlabsinc.com, a social game company based in Santa Cruz, Ca best known for Wild Party Bingo, www.wildpartybingo.com, the World’s Most Social Bingo game.
General Responsibilities:
Architect and implement game systems
Create/refine asset pipeline
Export and integrate art assets
Integrate audio assets
Deploy builds
Instrument & optimize game performance
Facilitate backend integration with Asylum’s third party operator/partner
Interact/communicate with Asylum’s publishing partner
Support general game testing & compliance testing effort
Skills & Requirements:
Javascript expert
Adept at CSS & HTML5
Three plus years making browser based games using Javascript
Five plus years making 2D games
Experience with WebGL/HTML canvas hybrid renderers such as Pixi.js, Easel.js
Experience in optimizing & supporting different mobile browsers
Capable in using version control system
Self-starter who can work with limited supervision
Enjoys producing organized, well commented and optimized code
strong verbal and written communication skills
Bonus Points:
Social casino or online real money game experience
Hands on experience using Adobe Flash Pro
experience in Agile development process
Bay Area based
Project Details:
Contract position working off-site
Starts in March, 2016
4-6 months full time with regular, bi-weekly deliverables
Connected via Skype etc. to other team members with regular “virtual” meetings
