Overview:
The Sales engineer is responsible for supporting the sales staff in presenting technical presentations of our products as well as assisting on installations of our products in both a pre- and post-sales support role. Pre-sales activities involve technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and assisting customers and resellers with product evaluations, training of partners, system integrators, and resellers. The Sales Engineer will work closely with both our direct sales team as well as supporting our partners and high profile customers within the assigned territory. The incumbent works closely with Channel Sales Managers to develop business opportunities and maintain customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
•Provide/deliver reseller training for our products.
•Provide product demonstrations both in person and via Webex to potential clients.
•Provide technical training to our sales staff as necessary.
•Provide weekly reports as required by the Director of Channels.
•Respond to reseller and High profile customer requests for technical assistance.
•Respond to voicemails per company policy.
•Keep accurate Outlook calendar for scheduling of time by sales staff.
•Keep accurate notes in CRM for all related activities.
•Attend all sales meetings and trainings as required.
•Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers and partners.
•Consult with external customers to interpret customer requirements while providing product application assistance.
•Provide product demonstrations both in person and via Webex to potential clients.
•Assist sales force and partners inclosing business deals through on-site visits.
•Provide technical training for channel partners.
•Participate in trade shows, seminars, and other industry events.
•Provide feedback to product development regarding product changes as it relates to customer requirements.
•Champion our product line through product presentations and technical demonstrations at customer and partner sites.
